【ストーリー】
ポールの夢に着想を得て
私は、現実のルールが通用しない奇妙な島にいる。世界はひっくり返って見え、私の感覚をとらえて離さない。
頭上に広がるのは空ではなく、重力に逆らうようにぶら下がる広大な青い海である。私は手を伸ばし、指先で冷たい水に触れ、潮風が肌をなでるのを感じながら、海の香りに浸る。
遠くには、ガラスかプラスチックでできたような透明なボートが見える。誰かが乗っていないかと目を凝らすが、ボートは空っぽである。私はひとりだ。
隣の砂の上にはレモンの木の濃い影が落ちているが、周囲を見回しても木はどこにもない。鮮やかな黄色い果実も見当たらない。
それなのに、爽やかなレモンの香りが空気を満たし、私の体中を駆け巡る。私は力がみなぎるのを感じる。
日陰に足を踏み入れると、そこはひんやりとしていて新鮮である。私は知っている世界には戻りたくないと感じる。
私は走り出し、勢いをつけて頭上の海に飛び込もうとする。しかし、どんなに高く跳んでも、必ず砂の上に戻ってきてしまうのである。

Story｜
Paul saw a strange island where even the concept of gravity turns upside down.
An ocean stretched above his head, and the shadow of a lemon tree that shouldn’t exist anywhere.
Cold water, sea breeze, the scent of fruit, and the feeling of being completely alone.
He throws himself toward the sea with all his strength, only to return to the sand again and again.
A loneliness from which there is no return.
Inspired by Paul’s dream.
I find myself on a strange island where the rules of reality no longer apply.
The world appears inverted, gripping my senses tightly.
Above me stretches not the sky but a vast blue sea hanging upside down, defying gravity.
I reach out and touch the cold water with my fingertips, feeling the sea breeze stroke my skin as I breathe in the ocean’s scent.
In the distance, I see a transparent boat—made of glass or perhaps plastic.
I squint to see if anyone is aboard, but it is empty.
I am alone.
On the sand beside me lies the deep shadow of a lemon tree, though no such tree can be found no matter how I look around.
Nor are there any bright yellow fruits.
And yet, the refreshing scent of lemon fills the air and rushes through my entire body.
I feel strength rising within me.
When I step into the shade, it is cool and invigorating.
I feel no desire to return to the world I once knew.
I start to run, building momentum as I leap toward the sea above my head.
But no matter how high I jump, I always fall back onto the sand.
